In conjunction with Jerkwater Canoe Company, we offer several paddling 2 and 3 day itineraries on the Colorado River near Yuma, Arizona. Our equipment includes canoes or kayaks, paddles, and life jackets. All of our trips are on Class I water that has current, but no whitewater - enjoyable for beginners as well as experts. Here is your opportunity to enjoy canoeing, kayaking, jet boating, hiking and primitive camping all in one trip! You will begin your trip at Fisher's Landing where you will board our commercial jet boats with all of your camping gear, food, and water. Our USCG licensed river boat captains will transport you and all your gear up the mighty Colorado River.
On our most popular canoe trip, we invite you to enjoy a jet boat shuttle cruise from Martinez Lake upriver to our exclusive boat-in camp at Norton's Landing. While on the jet boat shuttle trip up the Colorado River your captains will help you locate historical points of interest like the Watchmen’s Cabin and the Indian petroglyphs. These are places you may want to visit on day two while paddling your canoes from Norton’s Landing down the river to your awaiting vehicles at Fisher's Landing. Norton's Landing is a historic steamboat site that was once a thriving mining town, only accessible by boat with no roads in. Norton's is off the main river channel with a backwater lagoon available for brushing up on your paddling skills in preparation for your 15-mile trip down the river the following day. Norton's has outhouses, plenty of tables, and BBQ's for your use. Cost is $99 per person with a ten-person minimum required for private adventures. Parties of less than 10 people may shuttle on a scheduled Jet Boat Tour to Norton's Landing! This cost is for 2 days and one night of camping.
